Visitor insurance offers health coverage for parents visiting USA.
I am working in US with H1B work permit. My parents visited US for holiday vacation for 3 months We went to many places, met relatives and enjoyed very much.
One day my mother slipped in bathroom and got injured severely and we rushed to hospital, spent lot of money for treatment which is very expensive and not affordable. We felt very bad of not taking
insurance thinking of short trip and not necessary to have insurance for short trip and ended up in lot of expenses for treatment. And doctors told surgery is required and it is very costly, so after taking
primary treatment we rushed to India for surgery. And all our holiday trip was spoiled because of this incident. So, I realized that taking visitor insurance is mandatory and best solution to avoid such
incidents.
